The Therapy Process

Coming into therapy can be a bit daunting.  What are we going to focus on?  How is it going to work?  How long will it take?   Therapy is an agreement between therapist and client- me and you, on our ways of working.  We discuss and rediscuss our scope and therapy goals.  We both bring our toolkits to the table and we work together to find the right tools to suit your style.  As for timing- that really depends on aspects such as trust building, readiness for and response to our explorations, practical availability and overall psychological (and day to day) capacity. We always look to work within your Window of Tolerance and it is so important to check and recheck the Window and keep it as open as possible.

The image below is a perspective of how I approach therapy and the overall process I am working alongside you with. There are many details below these headings but I thought it might give you an insight into my thinking.   Consider the below and let me know what you think…..

Ready to "...rethink your potential"?

If you’re ready to release what no longer serves you, work through a challenge, or open up to new possibilities, this may be the right moment to reach out for support.
